Being a postman can be a risky occupation when you encounter wild creatures you were not expecting.
This is what happened to a postman who ran for his life after encountering a grizzly bear during a routine delivery. The footage was shared by Barstool Sports on Instagram on October 8th, 2020, with more than 2 million views.
On a sunny day, the postman walked to a house to deliver a small package to its owner as any usual day. After putting the little box at the entrance, he was surprised by a grizzly bear running straight in his direction.
The postman reacted quickly as he saw the big bear heading to him. He moved to his left in an attempt to avoid the bear. Fortunately, both the postman and the bear were able to move out of the way of each other.
The bear looked surprised by the encounter as it took him a few seconds to realize what happened. He stopped and looked at the house entrance to process who he just ran past. The footage was captured by the house’s security camera.
On the other side, the postman’s reaction was quite similar. He walked back towards the porch looking for the grizzly bear. He did not show any fear of the animal this time and stayed calm.
Fortunately, both the grizzly bear as well as the postman are safe and no one was injured.
