Earlier this year, Dolly Parton‘s Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, was named the #1 theme park in the U.S. by Tripadvisor. It was also named as the #8 theme park in the world:
“I’m so proud of the work my people do to make Dollywood such a great place for families,” Parton said in a statement quoted on her official website. “When I started dreaming up Dollywood all those years ago, I hoped it would be somewhere folks were excited to come visit and enjoy time together. To hear that they are leaving so many positive comments about their time here really shows what we’re doing is working. In the current world, I want Dollywood to be a place where the light shines every day.“

Those who visit Dollywood often dream of seeing Parton at the park. Parton does visit the park from time to time, so this hope isn’t too far-fetched.
But few people likely imagined they’d run into Carrie Underwood there!
Underwood was spotted at Dollywood on Monday (July 19). Twitter user Sierra Peak shared a couple of photos of Underwood in the park. The first picture shows her waiting in line for a ride. A boy in a yellow shirt behind Underwood resembles her eldest son, Isaiah.
The second photo Peak shared shows Underwood stopping to pose for a photo with a group of fans. The fans she took a photo with were wearing buttons that said “Happy Birthday” on them…so we’d say Underwood made someone’s birthday celebration extra special this year!
