Carrie Underwood Explains How She Narrowly Avoided A Wardrobe Malfunction Before Going Onstage In Las Vegas
Carrie Underwood started her Reflection residency at Resorts World Las Vegas in December 2021. The residency is still ongoing, and in fact, she just extended it!
On September 13, Underwood announced the extension of the Reflection residency into 2024.
“Big news for 2024!! I’m so excited to share that #REFLECTION will be continuing at Resorts World Theatre next year beginning in March! We love performing this show for everyone visiting from all over the world, and if you haven’t seen it yet, come see us!” Underwood said.

Carrie Details The Wardrobe Malfunction That Thankfully Didn’t Happen
As is the case with a lot of Vegas residencies, Underwood undergoes a number of costume changes throughout her shows. So it’s to be expected that some articles of clothing could experience a little wear and tear.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Underwood detailed a time she nearly experienced a wardrobe malfunction on stage. The zipper on one of her outfits broke, and they thankfully caught it in time.
“A zipper busted open right before I went onstage,” she said. “Luckily my dresser added a big bow, and no one knew the difference. Stage magic, people!“
It’s true, people probably had no idea that giant bow was covering up a broken zipper!
She told the outlet about another incident that didn’t turn out so well. Only this didn’t involve her Vegas wardrobe, but rather, a regrettable purchase.
When asked about the last time she had buyer’s remorse, Underwood responded:
“I ordered a chair online. It cost $50, and when it came, I discovered it was meant for a dollhouse. It literally fit into the palm of my hand.”
Oops! Though surely there are a lot of people who can relate to Underwood on that one.
Between extending her residency, releasing the deluxe edition of her Denim & Rhinestones album, singing the theme for Sunday Night Football, and performing on TODAY...Underwood has been on fire lately!
