Carrie Underwood’s sheep recently got a front-row, private concert from her.
If you’re a fan of Carrie Underwood, then you already know how much she loves spending time on her farm in Tennessee.
When she’s not on stage or filming for American Idol, she’s usually at home caring for her animals, growing vegetables in her garden, and even picking up hobbies like crocheting her own clothes.
And she clearly loves sharing these moments with her followers. Underwood often posts glimpses of farm life on her social media, and just yesterday, February 12, she gave fans a peek at a hilarious interaction with her adorable flock of sheep.
In a video, Underwood is standing outside by herself, starting to sing a cover of Radiohead’s 1992 hit “Creep.” But she isn’t alone for long.
She pans the camera to reveal five sheep right beside her. That’s when she can’t help but giggle, changing the lyrics from “But I’m a creep” to “But I’m a sheep.”
And as if on cue, a rooster in the background lets out a perfect “cock-a-doodle-do” just as she finished the final line.
“Wait for it…😂 My dumb sense of humor…” she captioned the post.
Underwood may consider her type of humor “dumb,” but her fans sure do appreciate it. Many of them left comments under the clip, laughing along with her.
“You are so cute, singing to your animals…lucky animals ♥️,” said a fan.
“Omg…This has made my day. Thanks for that Carrie. 👏👏🤣🤣❤️,” wrote another.
“I’ve never been more jealous of sheep and chickens ❤️ sooo good,” someone else joked.
Carrie Underwood Is Enjoying Time At Home Before Filming Idol Again
It looks like Underwood is soaking up as much time as she can on her farm while she has the chance, because things will get busier soon as American Idol continues its Season 24.
The season kicked off on January 26, and for the past month, judges Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie have been watching auditions and deciding which contestants have what it takes to move on to Hollywood.
Luckily for Underwood, the auditions have been close to home, being filmed at Belmont University in Nashville.
The ABC show recently released its schedule for upcoming episodes and shared when Hollywood Week will start. This time is a little different, though, because they will actually be staying in Music City rather than Hollywood for the very first time.
The confirmed schedule so far is:
- February 16 – Episode 4, “Auditions”
- February 23 – Episode 5, “Hollywood Week In Music City – Part 1”
- March 2 – Episode 6, “Hollywood Week In Music City – Part 2”
- March 9 – Episode 7, “Ohana Round”
- March 16 – Episode 8, “Top 20 at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawai’i – Part 1”
- March 23 – Episode 9, “Top 20 at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawai’i – Part 2”
These are all pre-taped, and it’s expected that live episodes of the singing competition will begin after their time in Hawaii.
