Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, walked a long, hard road on their journey to welcome their second child. After three loses between 2017 and 2018, Carrie became pregnant again.
That pregnancy resulted in the birth of her second son, Jacob Bryan Fisher. He was born on January 21, 2019.
Jacob joined his big brother, Isaiah Michael, who was born February 27, 2015.

It’s hard to believe, but Jacob is now two years old. Both Carrie and Mike celebrated his special day through posts on their respective Instagram accounts.
Carrie and Mike are selective when it comes to sharing photos of their sons. If they do post pictures of them, the pictures often hide their faces.
So fans were surprised when Mike recognized Jacob’s birthday by posting a photo of him, though the picture does show Jacob wearing a pair of sunglasses.
Mike remarked how his youngest son has “brought so much joy” to their family since he was born.
“Can’t wait to see what God has in store for you in the years ahead!” Mike said.

As for Carrie, she opted not to share a current picture of Jacob. Rather, she posted a photo of him when he was a newborn.
In the caption, Carrie reflected on how much hurt she and Mike had to experience in order to welcome Jacob into their lives.
“Jacob, we longed for you. We prayed for you. We walked a long, hard road in order to one day hold you,” she said.
Carrie went on to call her baby boy an “incredible blessing from God” before wishing him a happy second birthday. Read her full message to Jacob below.
