On Tuesday night, November 25, Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars came to an end, and a new winner took home the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
But the finale didn’t wrap up without a little chaos in the ballroom. Things got tense for a moment when someone in the audience shouted at longtime judge Carrie Ann Inaba after disagreeing with her feedback.
The moment happened after Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa performed a paso doble to Rihanna’s “Breakin’ Dishes.”
For each contestant’s first dance of the night, one of the judges spent time in the studio during the week to help perfect their routine. Carrie Ann had worked with Jordan and Ezra ahead of show day with this exact dance.
When it came time to hear what the judges thought, Carrie Ann gave the first remarks. Although she did like parts of the routine, she still felt Jordan’s delivery had a few flaws.
“You’re a pleasure to work with because you are so intense,” she said. “I love that you attack every movement full out. I think this number, when you first started, your attack was a little too strong, and it felt like it disconnected you just a tiny bit.”
Well, let’s just say the audience didn’t like that at all. The room instantly filled with loud boos, but one person took it even further. Someone in the audience shouted a comment at Carrie Ann, and she wasn’t going to let it slide.
“What? What did you say?!” Carrie Ann shouted back at the heckler, standing up from her seat.
She was visibly angry, but host Alfonso Ribeiro stepped in and tried to calm down the heated moment.
“Alright, alright, it’s alright,” he said. “Don’t worry about them,” he said, moving on to judge Derek Hough for his feedback.
It wasn’t entirely clear what the audience member shouted. Some say they yelled “she’s a queen” in defense of Jordan, while others wonder if it was something more negative aimed at Carrie Ann.

Who Won Season 34 Of Dancing With The Stars?
During the season finale, the five remaining celebrities and their pro dance partners were challenged to perform three dances. Each of them had to take on a judges’ choice dance, an instant dance, and a freestyle.
After all the performances were completed, the three-hour episode reached the moment everyone had been waiting for: the announcement of who would take home the Mirrorball Trophy.
Hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro revealed the results after the judges’ scores were combined with the public votes. The results were:
- Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bernsten – 5th place
- Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach – 4th place
- Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa – 3rd place
- Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy – 2nd place
Which means that wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and his partner Witney Carson were named the winners of season 34 of Dancing With the Stars!
