Riley Strain’s Body Was Recovered In The Cumberland River On Friday, March 22
Country singer Carly Pearce followed the Riley Strain story from the beginning. 22-year-old Strain went missing in Nashville on March 8 after being kicked out of Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge bar in downtown Nashville.
Pearce shared her prayers for Strain’s family, writing:
“I can’t stop following the Riley Strain case. Praying for his hurting mother & family. Praying for Riley and hoping they find him. Life is so precious.”

Sadly, after a two-week search, Strain’s body was recovered from the Cumberland River on Friday morning (March 22).
Police said they observed “no foul play-related trauma” on Strain’s body. The initial autopsy also supports this, listing the manner of death as “accidental” with no signs of trauma indicating foul play.
After news broke about Strain’s death, Pearce shared a short and sweet tribute on social media. The Grand Ole Opry member wrote, “rest easy, Riley.“

Carly Pearce Sings “Every Little Thing” To Honor Riley Strain
Pearce is the supporting act on Tim McGraw’s Standing Room Only Tour. They performed in St. Louis, Missouri the same day that Strain’s body was recovered.
Missouri was Strain’s home state. Being there, Pearce knew she couldn’t let the evening pass by without mentioning him.

“I do not feel like I can live in Nashville and be in the state of Missouri tonight and not say that we love you, Riley Strain,” Carly Pearce said. “I just wanna say that I’m thinking of his family and I’m thinking of his friends and anybody that knows him in this room that knows him and I wanna dedicate this to them.“
Then, Pearce dedicated her powerful song “Every Little Thing” to Strain and his family. She delivered an emotional tribute to him, and ended by saying, “We love you, Riley.”
