Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll are one step closer to expanding their family.
Bunnie and her country superstar husband have been hoping to have children for a while now.
While Bunnie (46) loves being the stepmother to Jelly Roll’s two kids, Bailey (17) and Noah (9), she’s always dreamt of having children of her own. However, it hasn’t been an easy journey.
In recent years, she’s been very candid about struggling with infertility. She’s also shared her journey of undergoing IVF treatments through her social media.
At first, they planned to keep this part of their lives private. But after remembering how open they’ve been with fans about the rest of their lives, it felt right to share this chapter too.
“I’m going through all of the emotions, the rollercoaster, [and] the worry, just so that I can have a little piece of my husband and me,” she said during a March episode of her Dumb Blonde podcast. Just a little piece wrapped in skin — to just add to the other two beautiful children that we have together.”
Bunnie Reveals That She & Jelly Roll Are Hoping To Welcome Twins
She’s spoken about the topic a few more times since then, and her most recent update is shared in her new memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.
The book officially released today, February 17.
“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future—including growing our family,” Bunnie wrote.
They’ve been trying to get pregnant since 2019, unfortunately though, Bunnie found out her fallopian tubes were blocked. Doctors told her surgery would be required, with no guarentee it would allow her to carry a baby.
But, things are looking up for them. Bunnie shared that she and Jelly Roll have found a surrogate and are hoping to bring twins into the world.
“J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims.”
“With how much IVF has advanced over the years and with the help of the most unselfish woman willing to carry twins for us, we’ll be able to make our baby dreams come true,” she later writes.

In the book, Bunnie also doesn’t shy away from speaking directly to those who might judge her and Jelly Roll for trying for a baby at their ages.
She acknowledges that some people will question their choice, but she makes it clear that outside opinions won’t change their decision.
“Some people frown upon our decision to bring babies into this world at our age, and I could give a f**k,” she candidly says.
“I’ve waited this long to have kids with someone I knew would be a great father— and to be able to make sure they have the best life,” she adds.
Although 2026 could be the year their family grows, she didn’t say exactly when they’d welcome a bundle of joy. Bunnie has said before that she and Jelly want to keep the birth details private for a while.
In a June 2024 podcast episode, she explained that they’ll keep the arrival quiet for “six months to a year.” The couple want to be able to enjoy their time as new parents without outside attention.
