Missy Robertson Speaks About The Pain Brighton’s Family Is Going Through
Brighton’s mother-in-law, Missy, spoke a bit about Brighton’s family tragedy in a post on social media. She said:
“Over the last few months our family has been faced with some overwhelming obstacles and a very recent tragic event in our sweet Brighton’s family. These are the kinds of things that if only one of them happened in a lifetime, it might be more than some could bear at all. But that’s where God steps in.“
Someone named Sparky Nolan spoke about the tragedy in a post on Facebook. They said:
“Please consider lifting up in prayer Dr. Addison Thompson MD and his wife Kasey Thompson, NP of Rayville, La. On Monday morning at 7am, while taking her 3 kids to school, a terrorizing and tragic event happened. Two of the precious children, ages 7 and 9, died on the scene and Kasey was severely burned.”
Brighton’s Family Pays Tribute To Her Niece Bryn And Nephew Harrison
The two children who lost their lives in the accident were Brighton’s nine-year-old niece, Bryn, and seven-year-old nephew, Harrison.
An obituary for the siblings says that Bryn loved “piano, animals, school, organizing things, [and] art.” She was beginning her fourth grade year in school.

Harrison loved playing baseball, and also enjoyed going to school, playing with his Nerf gun, and spending time with his friends and family. He was beginning the second grade.
According to the obituary, Bryn and Harrison called their Aunt Brighton “Nany.” Their funeral was held on Friday (August 18) at the Rayville Methodist Church in Louisiana. Reed served as a pallbearer for Bryn.
The family asks that in lieu of sending flowers, those wishing to honor Bryn and Harrison can make donations to the Riverfield Academy or The Rayville Methodist Church Children’s Ministry.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Brighton’s family during this difficult time.
