Fans at a recent Brad Paisley concert experienced a scary moment when lightning struck the venue twice during his performance.

Paisley recently made a stop at Florida’s St. Augustine Amphitheater as part of his Truck Still Works World Tour.

However, in the middle of his performance, lightning struck the venue.

A concertgoer caught the moment on camera, showing Paisley on stage as the digital backdrop behind him began to glitch. The screen turned to static, his microphone let out a strange noise, and the sounds in the venue became distorted.

Paisley paused his performance and spoke into the mic with a confused look, trying to figure out what was happening. Because of the sound issues, though, it was hard to make out what he was saying.

Although the fan-captured video didn’t show the lightning, people in the comments who were at the concert said it struck twice. They clarified that it was the cause of all the stage malfunctions.

“This and second one made a whole room of Floridian[s] jump. Thats saying alot,” one person wrote.

Another person in attendance said that the second lightning strike had a “lady almost jump over my chair onto my back,” because it startled her so much.

Thankfully, even with the chaos, everyone remained safe, and Paisley continued to perform for the crowd.
