Julianne Hough admits that she disagrees with Bobby Bones’ DWTS win

Professional dancer and Dancing with the Stars champion, judge, and co-host Julianne Hough got candid about past DWTS winners on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. During a segment of fan-submitted questions, Hough was asked which former champion she “strongly disagreed” with winning the competition.

While she pondered, country singer Mickey Guyton, who appeared alongside Hough, suggested “Bobby Bones.” The radio personality won the competition in 2018, to the surprise of many viewers.

Hough agreed with Guyton, explaining that she felt his dancing skills were not strong enough to earn him the Mirrorball Trophy, but rather, it was his large following of fans watching at home that influenced the win.

Bobby Bones responds to Julianne Hough and Mickey Guyton’s comments

One day after the Andy Cohen interview aired, Bobby Bones posted a video to social media addressing the comments made by Hough and Guyton.

First, he emphasized that the few times he has met Hough, she has been “awesome.” However, he expressed annoyance that Mickey Guyton, “of all people,” would suggest his name in the first place.

Bones acknowledged his lack of skill while on the show. He says confidently:

“I was the worst dancer! I take pride in that… Now, I tried as hard as anybody in the history of the show, but I can’t dance now, couldn’t dance then.”

He adds:

“I’m the greatest champion ever – I didn’t say I was the greatest dancer ever – but I am the greatest champion ever because I am a man of the people!”

Finally, Bones confirmed that he and Hough are cool and that she will not be slandered by him. He  cheekily signs the video “Dance Champ.”
