Blake Shelton Released “Let Him In Anyway” On His 2025 Album
Blake Shelton released his thirteenth album, For Recreational Use Only, on May 9, 2025.

The album featured 12 new songs, including his hit songs “Texas” and “Stay Country or Die Tryin’,” as well as his sixth duet with his wife, Gwen Stefani, “Hangin’ On.”
Another standout track from the album is “Let Him In Anyway,” which has become one of Shelton’s most emotional songs of his career. The song is about a man “hoping for divine forgiveness for a lost friend who was just shy of redemption.”
“Let Him In Anyway” was written by HARDY, Zach Abend, Kyle Clark, and Carson Wallace, and Shelton describes it as “one of the most powerful songs I’ve ever had the chance to record.”
“Hardy is a co-writer and a friend, and I’ve never heard a song like this before. When I first listened to it, I knew it was something special. It’s an honor to bring it to life, and I’m incredibly proud of the record we made.”
Shelton released it as a promotional single on March 14, 2025, ahead of the album’s release, and later as a commercial single on February 9, 2026.
Blake Drops A Powerful Music Video For “Let Him In Anyway”
On April 7, Shelton announced that he will be releasing a music video for his emotional song “Let Him In Anyway.”
“Let Him In Anyway. Official Video Premiere. Thursday 4 PM CT,” the singer captioned a video teaser.
The video began with Shelton walking into an empty church. He walked to the front of the church as he sang the powerful lyrics. The singer stayed in the chapel for the entirety of the video, but switched from praying in the pews to playing guitar in front of the gorgeous stained glass. All in all, it was a stunning video for a powerful song. Watch it below.
