Steve’s daughter, Bindi, and son, Robert, have followed in their father’s footsteps. Both of them took to social media on Wednesday to share a tribute to their dad in honor of his birthday.

Bindi posted an old photo of her and Steve together. The picture shows Steve holding a small animal for a young Bindi to admire.

Bindi wrote a sweet message about his birthday in the picture’s caption, saying:

Happy Birthday, Dad. Thank you for instilling a love for all species, courage to follow my heart and determination to make a difference in the world for wildlife and wild places. Your legacy lives on and the world is forever changed because of your dedication to conservation. Mum, Robert and I love and miss you so much.”

Robert also shared an old photo in his birthday post for his dad. The picture shows Steve holding Robert when he was just a baby. Bindi also appears in the photo, and can be seen looking at her dad as he held her baby brother.

Happy birthday, Dad,” Robert wrote in the caption along with a red heart emoji.

Bindi and Robert’s posts are reminders that although their dad is no longer with us, his influence continues. His legacy lives on through them and the millions of people who were inspired by his life and his message.

As we celebrate his 61st birthday, let us remember Steve Irwin’s passion, his enthusiasm, and his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place for animals and people alike.
