Bindi Irwin is making the move all the way from Australia to Los Angeles, but it will only be for a short time.
In a video shared on her Instagram, Bindi, the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steven Irwin, gave fans an exciting “life update.” She explained that she, her husband Chandler Powell, and their 4-year-old daughter Grace have officially moved to Los Angeles from their home in Australia.
“G’day guys. I wanted to pop on here and share a little bit of a life update with you,” she began. “We have officially moved to Los Angeles.”
But Bindi made it clear that the move isn’t permanent. She shared that her family will only be relocated for about three months so they can support her brother, Robert, as he competes on the new season of Dancing with the Stars.

Robert Irwin was one of the first celebrities confirmed for season 34 of DWTS. His decision to join the show is even more special to the family since Bindi herself won the mirrorball trophy back in 2015.

“Oh my goodness, it was about 10 years that I competed on Dancing With the Stars in America…and I won with my amazing partner, Derek [Hough],” Bindi continued. “It was a life-changing experience that I will always be grateful for, and now, my little brother’s gonna be on the show.”
She continued, “I can’t wait to support him and cheer him on every week in the audience, and maybe lend some advice here and there. He is going to shine, though, and I know in my heart that he’s gonna make it far because he’s such a fantastic human being.”
Robert ended up leaving a sweet message for his sister in the video’s comment section.
“So excited! Thanks for supporting me with every new adventure!” he wrote.
Fans have also flooded the comments with support, sharing how excited they are to cheer him on in the upcoming season. They left messages such as:
“Already following & ready to vote. He’s going to win everyone over, just as you did!”
“Thank you for being the best big sister to your incredible little brother and we can’t wait to watch him dance every week!”
“Love that your family is always there for each other. Can’t wait to see him each week!”
Viewers will get to see Robert Irwin hit the dance floor for the first time during the season 34 premiere of Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, September 16, at 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
