In August, Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell announced they are expecting their first child.
“Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!” Bindi wrote in a post on social media. “It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you.”
Bindi was still in her first trimester when she announced her pregnancy, so she didn’t know yet whether she was expecting a boy or a girl. She and Chandler learned that news in September.
The couple shared a photo from their adorable gender reveal, which fittingly involved one of the animals at the Australia zoo…a tortoise!
Bindi, Chandler, and the tortoise posed for a snapshot in front of a bunch of pink flowers while Chandler held up a sonogram photo. It’s a girl!
“Our beautiful daughter is now about the same size as a hatchling Aldabra tortoise and is as healthy as can be,” Bindi captioned the picture. “We can’t wait for her arrival next year.”

For a while, fans hadn’t really gotten the chance to see Bindi’s baby bump in any of the pictures she shared. But she finally shared a baby bump photo on October 10!
The picture, which was taken by Bindi’s mom, Terri, shows the 22-year-old conservationist cradling her bump while wearing a black tank top and a pair of olive-colored pants.
Bindi also provided a short pregnancy update in the caption, writing:
“Baby girl is doing great. Every time we get an ultrasound she’s incredibly energetic and always moving around. She’s now about the same size as a mountain pygmy-possum. Too cute!“
And Bindi is looking cute as can be as well..she’s glowing! Check out her baby bump photo below.

Chandler commented on his wife’s picture, and he had the sweetest things to say about her and their daughter.
“She’s already growing up so fast and she hasn’t even arrived yet,” he said. “I love you and our baby girl.”
How precious is that?
