Steve Irwin is a household name. When he died tragically on September 4, 2006, the world mourned alongside his family – wife, Terri, daughter, Bindi, and son, Robert.

Now a parent herself, Bindi makes sure that her daughter, 1-year-old Grace Warrior Irwin Powell, knows about her grandfather. They lovingly call Steve “Grandpa Crocodile” and from her Instagram photos, Grace sure loves him!

On August 23, Bindi shared another video of Grace giving “love” to her Grandpa Crocodile, Bunny (which is what she calls Terri), and a koala.

Not only is she keeping Steve’s legacy alive for her daughter, she, Terri, Robert, and now her husband Chandler, are all doing do in their work with the Australia Zoo.
On the 14th anniversary of Steve’s passing, Bindi shared a sweet post on Instagram. She wrote, “Grandpa Crocodile, I know you would’ve been the most incredible grandfather because you were such an extraordinary dad. Thank you for being an amazing guardian angel for Grace.”
