Broadway star, actor, and singer Ben Platt is on his The Honeymind Tour following a hugely successful 180-show residency at The Palace Theater in New York City. Platt brought a surprise guest to the famous Broadway stage at each show and even helped some singers make their Broadway debuts!
Some notable guests included Kacey Musgraves, Kristin Chenoweth, Tori Kelly, Meghan Trainor, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Hudson, and more.
He is bringing his Broadway residency to cities all over the United States, and his tour included two nights (July 6 and 7) at the historic Ryman Audiorium.

While there aren’t special guests at every night of his tour, he did bring out a surprise singer for the July 6th show.
Because The Ryman Auditorium is considered the “Mother Church of Country Music,” he had to bring out an accomplished country star to sing with him. None other than Kelsea Ballerini joined him for a duet to “Landslide.”
The song was famously written by Stevie Nicks and first recorded by her band Fleetwood Mac in the 1970s. It is considered one of the best songs of all time, with Rolling Stone even ranking it number 163 on their list of 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
The Smashing Pumpkins later covered the song in 1994, but the song really took new heights when The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks) released their version in 2002.
The Nashville audience was surprised by the ACM and CMA Award winner and her performance with Platt was so memorable that people were calling it their “Roman Empire,” which is a social media trend about how often you think about certain events.
