At the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort in British Columbia, a black bear was caught on video making everybody smile as it slid down a snowy slope on its belly.
This happened in 2011 while skiers were on the ski lift riding their way to the top of the mountain. From the sound of the video, it seems like a mother and her son were riding the lift and once the mom saw the bear she whipped out her phone and started recording.
The bear was walking towards a snowy patch on the hillside and once it got to the patch it sprinted towards the snow and jumped onto its belly. The bear went sliding down the hill and the kid watching commentated by saying “Weeeeee! Yahooooo!”
The bear clawed at the snow to keep his momentum going and slid all the way to the end of the snowy patch. The mother and kid couldn’t contain themselves and laughed at the whole experience. They definitely got to witness something most never get to see.
Black bears have been seen at Whistler Blackcomb before but never has anyone reported seeing them slide down the ski slope. Fortunately, everyone will get a chance to see it because the mother posted the video online and it caught the attention of many media outlets who shared it.
