Sazan Powers from Tampa, Florida was shopping at Sam’s Club when she got a call from her next-door neighbor Ericka pleading for help after a baby alligator got inside the house. Being a good friend, Sazan immediately drove over there.
The sliding glass door in Ericka’s dining room opens to the backyard and that’s how the creature got inside. Where she lives, there’s a lake in the back that comes right up to her property’s fence line. When Sazan finally pulled up and saw what was going on; she whipped out her phone to record the incident.
The video showed Sazan standing on the counter filming while Ericka was standing on a kitchen chair so they couldn’t be attacked. Ericka was on the phone with the authorities asking for help but it was taking too long, so the ladies began to take things into their own hands.
Sazan grabs the Swiffer and they both stood on the dining room table and tried to push the gator towards the open backdoor. It fought back and bit the Swiffer as they screamed.
“We can’t get this thing out. It’s trying to attack the Swiffer,” Sazan says in the video. “This thing is hissing at us. It tried to eat this.”
Finally, the alligator begins to slowly walk out the back door but keeps his head turned and his eyes locked on them as he made his getaway. Ericka tells the authorities on the phone what’s going on while Sazan yells out the window, saying her goodbyes to the gator.
“Thanks for hanging out!” she yells. “They’re so cute when they’re not in your home.”
