While horseback riding in Montana, country artist Ashley McBryde suffered an accident that landed her in the hospital. The incident occurred on September 23, 2021, and the news was announced on her social media pages.

In a post shared on social media, a brief statement was made explaining that she was injured and treated at a Missoula hospital that resulted in a few stitches.

“She is recovering and doing her best to ensure she can play again as soon as possible…as soon as we have updates on other shows this week we will make sure to let everyone know.”

The next day another update on her condition was given – this time by McBryde herself. She explained that something had spooked her horse and even though she’s an experienced rider, she was unable to control her balance and fell off the horse. After a trip to the hospital, it was determined that in addition to getting stitches, she also sustained a concussion.

“You know me, I wouldn’t postpone a show for a few bumps and bruises,” McBryde writes. “But at the moment I am not able to walk without assistance.”

She went on to say that she is in constant contact with her doctors and as soon as she can, she will return to the stage.

“As soon as I am able to walk across a stage again, that is exactly where you’ll find me.”

Take care of yourself and get well soon, Ashley!
