Alan Jackson‘s daughter, Mattie, and her husband, Connor, announced Thursday that they are expecting their first child less than a year after they said “I do.”
In a post made to social media, Mattie revealed that “Baby Boy Smith” will be arriving in June.
“I feel like I said so many times last year that 2023 topped the charts with more joy and celebration and and redemption than any yet. Well, I have a feeling 2024 may give it a run for it’s money,” Mattie captioned a series of photos.
Mattie married Connor Smith in a stunning West Palm Beach, Florida, ceremony in May. The nuptials were a beautiful celebration of the couple’s love and marked a new season for Mattie who lost her first husband in a tragic accident in 2018.
Mattie and Connor went public with their relationship in April 2022 in an Instagram post where Mattie rejoiced in the fact that God had sent her someone “to love with my whole heart again.”
“Other dear widow friends assured me that my heart could heal and expand to love two people equally, though differently. And I hoped so desperately that would really be true. This man is more of an answer to prayer (mine and countless others!) than I sometimes think he even realizes,” she said.
Mattie and Connor’s baby will be the second grandchild for country star Alan Jackson and his wife, Denise.
In December 2022, Jackson’s middle daughter, Ali, and her husband, Sam, welcomed her first child, Jackson Alvi Bradshaw.

Alan celebrated the birth of his first grandson two days before he and Denise celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. He marked the occasion with a photo of the couple holding baby Jackson.
“Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with our new grandson Jackson Alvie Bradshaw. Ali and Sam welcomed Jack into the world on Dec 13, 2022. So happy that this little guy has made us grandparents! -AJ,” the caption read.
