Team Niall’s Aiden Ross Wins Season 28 Of The Voice
Aiden Ross is on cloud nine after being named the winner of Season 28 of The Voice!
Ross’ crowning moment came at the end of a two-night season finale. Host Carson Daly gathered the six finalists onstage and read their placements in reverse order.
Those placements were:
- 6th Place – Jazz McKenzie of Team Bublé
- 5th Place – Max Chambers of Team Bublé
- 4th Place – Aubrey Nicole of Team Reba
- 3rd Place – DEK of Hearts of Team Niall
With Team Snoop’s Ralph Edwards and Team Niall’s Aiden Ross as the last two contestants onstage, Daly revealed that Ross was the winner and Edwards was the runner-up!
Ross fell into Edwards’ arms after his name was announced. They shared an emotional embrace before Horan rushed onstage to congratulate his champion.
20-year-old Ross, a student at Texas A&M University, took to social media after the finale to react to his win. Clearly in a state of disbelief, he wrote:
“I’m at a loss for words. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I am filled with so much joy and gratitude. I’ve had the time of my life performing for you all this season, and I am beyond honored to be the Season 28 winner of The Voice.”
Ross detailed how much he’s grown as a person and performer while on The Voice. He also mentioned the great friendships and connections he formed on the show.
“Thank you for following my journey… this is just the beginning,” Ross wrote, before ending his post with a heartfelt “thank you” to Horan. Read his entire message below.
Niall Horan Reacts After Scoring His Third Win As A Coach On The Voice
Aiden Ross’ victory helped his coach, Niall Horan, achieve an impressive feat. Horan has now won every season of The Voice that he has ever coached. He previously won Season 23 with Gina Miles and Season 24 with Huntley.
Needless to say, Horan was overjoyed after Ross won Season 28. He shared his reaction in a post on his Instagram Story, saying he was “so proud” of him.

Unfortunately, Horan couldn’t sing with Ross or his other finalists, DEK of Hearts. Horan had been sick in the weeks leading up to the finale and had been placed on vocal rest.
So, fellow coach Reba McEntire stepped in to sing with DEK of Hearts. They performed “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town.”
Meanwhile, Season 23 champion Gina Miles returned to sing “Last Christmas” with Ross. You can catch their performance below.
