Adele received a lot of attention from her post on Instagram and for good reason!

She looks incredible!

On May 5, 2020, Adele posted a stunning photo of herself celebrating her 32nd birthday! She thanked first responders and wished everyone well in the post saying, “Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time. I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels ♥️2020 okay bye thanks x”

Fans were quick to notice how amazing she looked and expressed their admiration in 242 thousand comments and over 11 million likes!

According to PEOPLE Adele started a lifestyle change and fitness journey to get healthier for her son, who was born in October 2012. She hired a private trainer, started taking Pilates classes, and eating better.

While Adele was on vacation in January, she chatted with a fan who spoke to PEOPLE and told the fan she had lost over 100 pounds and admitted it was a very positive experience for her. The fan claimed Adele was almost unrecognizable with her new slimmer frame.

Adele’s Country Roots

Adele preferred to use a different method for songwriting with her second album, 21, than she had with her debut album,19. The singer-songwriter used Lady Antebellum’s hit song “Need You Now” as the root of her newfound approach to creating music, channeling the storyline of exes yearning to be together in her songs.

Adele shared her thoughts with CMT in a 2011 interview saying:

“Unlike my first record, when I was writing how ‘your life is going to suck without me and I’ll be fiiiine,’ you know, it suddenly dawned on me that my ex was actually pretty incredible. I wanted to write a song about how it was such a shame that we fell out of love, and we can’t even remember why we loved each other and why we fell out of love. It seemed like a perfect subject, like this emotion could be in a country song.”

This isn’t the first time Adele shared her love and admiration for country music. In 2018, she paid tribute to Dolly Parton by dressing up as her and posting it to her Instagram with a heartfelt caption.

In 2019, she channeled June Cash, dressing up as her in a wig, dress, and holding an iconic auto harp similar to the one June used in her performances.
