Behind Lainey Wilson, Jelly Roll made an impressive mark on the ballot with five CMA nominations. Luke Combs and HARDY received four nominations each, while fellow artists Jordan Davis, Ashley McBryde, Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen earned three apiece.
As usual, there were plenty of surprises when the nominations were announced. Carrie Underwood, who received her sixth Entertainer of the Year nomination, isn’t up for Female Vocalist of the Year, an award she’s been nominated for 16 times previously and has won 5 times.
Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney, The War And Treaty, Katelyn Brown and Hailey Whitters earned their first CMA Award nominations. While JoDee Messina sees her name on the nomination list for the first time in 21 years thanks to her collaboration with Cole Swindell for “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.”
