There are few awards shows strictly devoted to country music. So whenever one of those shows rolls around, artists pull out all the stops and dress to the nines.

Some opt for an elegant approach, donning elaborate gowns and sleek suits. Others dare to show some skin in a red-hot ensemble.

Rhinestones, sequins, fringe, embroidery, big jewelry, and unique accessories give certain stars’ looks an extra edge, and make their attire stand out in the crowd.

Since the CMA Awards are known as “country music’s biggest night,” country artists and their significant others went all-out for this year’s red carpet and ceremony. See just a few of our favorite looks in the photos below!

Dolly Parton

The show’s hosts, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, and Reba McEntire, were some of the first people to walk the red carpet at this year’s CMA Awards. After all, they had an opening bit to get ready for!

But even though many people walked the red carpet after them, their outfits still stood out in people’s minds. Parton looked gorgeous in her white, shiny gown, which featured a slit on one side of the skirt. She added a little extra sparkle to her getup with some dazzling pieces of jewelry.

Reba McEntire

While Dolly dressed in white, Reba complemented her by dressing in an all-black ensemble. Her sparkly gown featured a plunging neckline and some faux fur cuffs around the wrists.

Even McEntire’s nails were painted black, which helped tie her whole look together. She certainly looked “Fancy!”

Scotty & Gabi McCreery

You can always count on Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi to make a statement on a red carpet. This year the couple dressed in matching silver outfits.

Gabi donned a metallic silver dress with a chevron pattern. She wore her hair up in a tight bun to show off the dress’ halter neckline.

As for Scotty, he wore a silver suit with a delicate sparkle detail. He made the suit the standout piece by wearing a plain black shirt and tie underneath.

These two always impress us with their red carpet attire!

Luke Combs & Nicole Hocking

Metallic clothing items are trendy this year, as you can tell based on the outfits worn to the CMA Awards. Luke Combs‘ fiancée Nicole Hocking embraced the trend by wearing a long, metallic silver gown with a deep “V” neckline.

Luke was quite dashing in a maroon-colored suit, which he accented with a black undershirt and matching pocket square. He was lookin’ good!

Brett & Taylor Young

Brett Young‘s wife, Taylor, glittered in a gold dress with flowy sleeves and a slit up one side. She just gave birth to her and Brett’s first child (a baby girl named Presley) on October 21, and was glowing at the CMA Awards.

Taylor’s look was perfectly complemented by Brett’s. He opted to wear a classic black suit, which is always a sleek and stylish choice!

Miranda Lambert

While many other artists rocked shades of silver and gold, Miranda Lambert chose a vibrant pink dress for her red carpet appearance. The dress included a “V” neckline, a slit up the side, and an all-over beaded floral pattern.

Lambert wore her blond hair in loose, long waves. She also rocked some statement rings, and those helped pull her whole look together!

Jon Pardi & Summer Duncan

Jon Pardi and his fiancée Summer Duncan were one of the most fashionable couples at the CMA Awards this year.

Summer stunned in her black, glittery dress with a slit up one side of the skirt. Another part of her look that glittered was her new engagement ring!

As for Jon, he rocked a Nudie-style suit with sparkly Western details all over the jacket. And of course, he topped the look off with a cowboy hat!

RaeLynn

RaeLynn was definitely giving us an old Hollywood feeling with her red carpet look, and it seems like that’s what she was going for. When the “Bra Off” singer shared a photo of her outfit on Instagram, she captioned it “RaeLynn Monroe.”

She wore a velvet-looking black dress with long sleeves and matching gloves. The sleeves of the dress had some gold trim around the wrists, so RaeLynn chose to wear gold earrings and carry a gold-accented clutch to tie the whole look together.

The Members Of Lady Antebellum

Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum went for a classic, all-black approach for their red carpet attire.

Charles and Dave wore similar black suits that they spruced up with their own accessories. Dave chose to accent his look with a black tie and buttoned jacket, while Charles wore a black vest and left his jacket undone.

As for Hillary, she was a vision in her black gown with lace details and a structured bodice. She looked gorgeous!

Carrie Underwood

As we mentioned earlier, Carrie, Dolly, and Reba stood out because they were some of the first artists to walk the red carpet. By the time the last artist had gone inside Bridgestone Arena, fans were still buzzing about Carrie’s look.

The 12-time show host donned a sheer dress with a skin-colored underlay. The sheer material on top featured a detailed gold pattern, including a choker-like detail at the neck. And it even had a train!

Country stars didn’t disappoint with their looks this year. Whose was your favorite?
