WWII Veteran Bill Dillon Addressed A Crowd At An Event At Mar-A-Lago
“I’m 101, going on 102. Godd*mmit, put a uniform on me! I’ll go tomorrow!”
This was said by Bill Dillon, a 101-year-old veteran of World War II, who addressed a crowd at the second annual Champions for America celebration at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
Standing beside retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, Bill delivered his remarks with great exuberance.
“There’s just nobody in this godd*mn world who cares more for this nation than this guy that you’re looking at,” said Bill of himself.
In 1942, at the age of 17, Bill left high school during his junior year to join the Navy, according to a writeup done on Bill by the Bowfin Pearl Harbor Base. He would soon find himself training for submarine deployment, and would go on to serve as a radioman first class on the USS Sailfish in the Pacific Theater.
During his service to the nation, Bill received two Bronze Stars, with one awarded for valor.
After the war, Bill continued serving the nation, joining the team that sent the first U.S. satellite into orbit in 1958.
Continuing his remarks at Champions For America, Bill said, “And I think Trump is not only the president of the United States, he is the president of the world!”
Continuing, Bill said, “And I think he does a fantastic job in negotiations.”
Pausing, he then ended his remarks with the aforementioned statement: “I’m 101, going on 102. Godd*mmit, put a uniform on me! I’ll go tomorrow!”
